Where the numbers come from
From OpenPowerlifting, the public record of powerlifting meets. Only raw lifters who made all three lifts at one meet count, so both numbers are the same person on the same day, and each lifter counts once, at their best meet. For your number we take the lifters within a couple of kilos of it and report what they did on the other lift: the middle one as the answer, and the middle half as the range.
What it is good for
Spotting a lift that lags. If your squat sits well below what lifters with your bench usually squat, that is worth knowing. It is not a prediction of what you could do tomorrow: leverages, training history and what you have practised all move the gap, and the range is there because real lifters spread out.

Frequently asked
How is the equivalent worked out?
From OpenPowerlifting meet results. We take raw lifters who did all three lifts at one meet, find the ones whose first lift is within a couple of kilos of yours, and report the middle of what they did on the second. The range under the answer is the middle half of those lifters.
Why is it not just a ratio?
Because the ratio changes with strength. A lifter benching 60 kg and one benching 180 kg do not squat the same multiple of it, and the data shows the drift. Every answer here comes from the lifters closest to your number.
Why does swapping the lifts not give my number back?
Because the two are separate questions. Among men, benching 100 kg goes with a squat of about 160, but squatting 160 goes with a bench of about 110 — each answer pulls toward the typical lifter. That is how real lifters spread out, not a rounding error.
Why only the squat, bench and deadlift?
Because those are the lifts powerlifting meets record, for the same lifter on the same day. There is no equivalent record for a lat pulldown or a leg press, and a ratio for them would be made up.
Why do I get no answer?
Your number is outside the range the data covers well, which needs at least 100 lifters at that weight. Past it we would be extrapolating, and a guess would look exactly as confident as a real answer.
